Now, under the new ownership and management of Madison’s renowned Executive Chef Silvio Suppa and his family, WoodWinds has acquired a new face and a new menu. Since January of 2007, WoodWinds has undergone a major transformation, featuring a complete interior renovation under the direction of one of Connecticut’s top interior designers, Melissa Mitko. Woodwind’s exterior columns beckon you to pass through rich mahogany double doors into a European country estate.  

All the right elements have been incorporated to transform this facility into a space of utmost beauty and grace. A sumptuous color palate plays out in a totally new and sophisticated environment. Deep reds, golds, marble, mahogany and silk fringe envelope you from floor to ceiling. You can dance the night away on new marble floors in each ballroom or relax in the foyer where sumptuous fabrics abound on window treatments and furniture.  Surely, a European piazza must be just around the corner.  

But this is only the beginning. Chef Silvio Suppa has brought his acclaimed cuisine from Café Allegre to this new venue. Chef Silvio and his wife, Vittoria, honed their blend of family-style service with the best of old world taste s at Delmonaco’s, on famous Wooster Street in New Haven. Today, The Allegre Group, the parent company, represents  not only Chef Silvio’s Sauces, but is composed of Café Allegre, located on Main Street in Madison, the Inn at Layette, right next to Café Allegre, Allegre Gourmet Express in Madison  and Pronto Express in Stonington,  plus WoodWinds in Branford.
